Hypnosis is the single most powerful psychotherapeutic tool for breaking
the negative trance states of Depression and Anxiety. It can help with Stress,
Smoking, Weight Loss, Phobias, Confidence, Pain Control, and Childbirth.
Hypnosis is a natural method of altering someone’s state of consciousness.
It is very pleasant and relaxing but at one with deep concentration. We will
not lose awareness or control, in fact our awareness is heightened.
Hypnotherapy is the application of hypnotic techniques in such a way as to
bring about therapeutic change.
There are three types of therapies:
Suggestion Therapy is a traditional treatment used to help
with problems such as smoking, pre-test nerves, nail biting, pain etc. It
makes use of the mind’s heighten awareness and suggestibility to beneficial
suggestions in order to make changes. This type of therapy generally requires
one or two sessions.
Brief or solution focused therapy: This involves the use
of modern methods which help a large range of symptoms. This therapy is concerned
with helping people achieve what they want to achieve in life. In solution
oriented hypnosis we are It is particularly helpful with confidence and self-esteem
problems, and change can often be achieved rapidly. Solution Based Therapy
is now recognised as one of the most successful interventions (if necessary
in conjunction with medication) in the treatment of Depression and Anxiety
disorders (including) panic attacks , agoraphobia etc concerned with awakening
abilities that appear beyond the persons deliberate control.
Analytical therapy: this is used, combined with brief
therapy techniques, when it is felt to be appropriate to deal with problems
originating in the past.
It can be summarised briefly as the doctrine of cause and effect Hypno-Analysis
aims to reveal this cause and then by dealing with it in many possible ways
to remove the harmful effects.
The use of CD’s is an integral part of the therapy. This continues to
focus the mind and provides solutions between sessions.
It is advisable, except where Anti-smoking therapy, straight forward suggestion
therapy or minor phobia therapy is involved, to have a Free Consultation to
discuss the problem. This will help to determine the method of treatment.
The treatment is tailored to your preferences, your personality and your
needs. Each session costs £50.The length of treatment might range from
three sessions for minor phobias to perhaps 10,hour-long sessions for some
one who is clinically depressed
